"Make it Monday" forum - A Good Home is Hard to Find
The results of the "Anchorage Housing Market Analysis," conducted by the McDowell Group and ECONorthwest, are in, and there are some surprise findings.
In the next 20 years, demand for all types of housing looks to be on the rise, but does Anchorage have the land to supply new homes to its growing population?
What will happen to the economy when the local workforce can't afford to live in the limited housing stock available?
Art Clark, vice president of Real Estate Brokers of Alaska, Jerry Weaver, community development director for the Municipality of Anchorage, Daniel Delfino with the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, and Bill Popp, president of AEDC, will present the housing report and discuss how the looming housing shortfall will affect Anchorage's economy.
Moderator: Ron Pollock, executive director, Anchorage Community Development Authority
