Ashlyn Hall
Kyle Hill is the President of Alaska Commercial Company, a retailer and wholesaler with 35 grocery stores in rural Alaska. Prior to joining ACC, Kyle held multiple roles including Vice President of Strategy for the North West Company, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Teach For Canada, and Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and PhD in Physics. He lives in Anchorage with his wife, Cecelia, and his daughter, Alexandria.
Dave Valdez serves as Chief Operating Officer at Alaska Wealth Advisors (formerly known as APCM Wealth Management for Individuals). He holds the Chartered Financial Consultant®, Chartered Life Underwriter®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and Certified Wealth Strategist® designations. In addition to his role at Alaska Wealth Advisors, Dave also serves as Deputy Inspector General at Joint Force Headquarters at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska. Dave earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Seattle University's Albers School of Business & Economics and later earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Dave held institutional leadership roles at Charles Schwab and TD Ameritrade, where he provided strategic consulting services to hedge funds and registered investment advisors in the Pacific Northwest. Dave's unique combination of military leadership experience and financial expertise allows him to help investors improve, enhance, plan, and navigate their financial wellness. In his free time, Dave enjoys cheering for Manchester United, running, skiing, and hiking in the beautiful Chugach National Forest with his wife, Amanda, and his two boys, Hudson and Maverick.

Ashlyn Hall
Ashlyn Hall is Alaska Regional Hospital’s Chief Nursing Officer. Ashlyn moved to Alaska in 2021. She came to us from St. Mark’s Hospital in Utah as their Assistant Chief Nursing Officer where she served for nearly two years. Ashlyn completed two different HCA development programs; the Director Development Program for ER/Surgical Services/ICU and the Executive Development Program. During this time, Ashlyn also was active duty in the U.S. Army Reserves, where she held Officer in Charge – Advanced Trauma Life Support. Ashlyn earned her MBA in Health Care Administration in 2019 from Western Governors University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 and an Associate in Applied Science in Registered Nursing in 2012 from Williston State College in North Dakota. Ashlyn excels at establishing a team, initiating change, and developing processes that ensure high-quality outcomes, patient safety, and patient experience.
Sarah Howard has been with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center just over 13 years. She started out as an Intern and served in multiple different positions within the organization, ultimately landing the role of Executive Director. Sarah went through the “salmon effect” and was born and raised Alaskan, and then moved to Wisconsin (turned into a Packer-Backer) before moving back to Alaska full-time after graduating college. When not at the AWCC, you will find Sarah volunteering as a Lieutenant on the Girdwood Fire Department. She currently live in Portage with two pups, one cat, her husband, and a bunch of wildlife!

Mention YPG (or Young Professionals Group) upon arrival at the ticket booth and get the special rate of $13/person. BONUS, kick-sleds are available for rent and a great option for a unique winter adventure. The center has ten kick-sleds of various sizes and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. (Ice grippers are recommended while walking during the winter months.)
