"Make it Monday" forum - Growing Economic Diversity Through Small Business Development

The Alaska Small Business Development Center provides business development advising to nearly 1,000 small businesses each year. The result of which is millions of dollars of capital infusion injected back in the Alaskan economy. During his program, Jon Bittner will debut our newly released Annual Report and discuss the future impact small business will have on diversifying the Alaskan economy.

As State Director of the Alaska SBDC John Bittner oversees seven regional centers to ensure that the SBDC provides accessible, high quality business assistance services to individuals and existing businesses. In his role he provides program management, advocacy and fundraising in addition to serving as the Lead Investigator for the various grant programs that are run through AK SBDC. Bittner formerly was the Vice President at the Anchorage Economic Development Center (AEDC). Bittner also served as the Deputy Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development.
