Kelley McGuirk, Regional Disaster Officer at the Red Cross of Alaska will give an overview of their disaster response/relief efforts, including the recent earthquake, from FY18. In addition, hear about exciting partnerships and programs, such as the rural Smoke Alarm install (part of the Home Fire Campaign), and a special announcement at the end of the presentation featuring a special guest!
PLUS! Superintendent Dr. Deena Bishop will give a short update on the status of the Anchorage School District following the earthquake.

Kelley McGuirk is the Regional Disaster Officer for the American Red Cross of Alaska. In this role, she manages the statewide preparedness, response, and recovery programs to serve the mission to alleviate and prevent human suffering. Kelley loves to work with volunteers, community partners, and government/non-governmental agencies in disaster readiness projects. She believes that it takes a whole community to best respond to and recover from disasters. Kelley manages the Red Cross’s response to large disasters within the state and deploys in various community and government liaison roles out of state.
