Continuing the legacy of the late state senator Bettye Davis, the Alaska Black Caucus proudly presents the annual Bettye Davis African American Summit. This event brings together the Black community and other people of color in conversation and action to make Alaska a better place for everyone.
This year’s theme is "Healthy Families," and we have an exciting lineup of sessions and speakers planned. Featured speakers include Alaska U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan, renowned multicultural artist and speaker Alex Boyé, who will address the importance of self-talk in enhancing quality of life; Grammy Award-winning singer Jay King, who also serves as the President of the California Black Chamber; and Jacqueline Hendricks, the first-ever Inspector General for the City of Columbus.
