Today\, he is based in Seattle and serves as Vice President of Communications for the Alaska Pollock Fishery Alliance.\n\n\n\nBefore joining APFA\, Sam held communications leadership roles at AAA Washington and Alaska Airlines\, where he specialized in strategic storytelling\, public affairs\, and stakeholder engagement.\n\n\n\nSam graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nebraska Omaha with degrees in Journalism and Business Administration\, along with a minor in Aviation Management. A former Division I student-athlete\, he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking\, paddleboarding\, or flying single-engine aircraft.\n\n\n\nSam is proud to support Alaska's seafood industry by sharing the story of the world's largest food fishery and the hardworking coastal communities\, fishermen\, and processors who help sustainably feed millions of people around the world.\n\n\n\n Andrea Keikkala serves as the Executive Director of United Catcher Boats\, bringing expertise in fisheries management\, public and government affairs\, and organizational leadership. Prior to joining UCB\, she held a senior leadership role at the International Pacific Halibut Commission\, where she focused on operational efficiency\, fiscal oversight\, and stakeholder engagement. Andrea also led organizations in the chamber of commerce and education sectors\, where she advanced policy advocacy and community development initiatives. She holds advanced degrees in Religious Studies and Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and is passionate about advancing science-based fisheries policy and supporting the next generation of industry leaders.\n\n\n\nOriginally from Juneau\, Alaska\, Andrea returns home often to go fishing and hiking with her family.
