SBA Alaska District Office Seeks Nominations for the National Small Business Week 2023

Anchorage, Alaska – Do you or someone you know have what it takes to become America’s “Small Business Person of the Year” for 2023? If so, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) wants to hear from you. 
 
The SBA is proud to announce that its Alaska District Office is ready to accept nominations for the 2023 National and District Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year Award.
 
Visit the SBA’s dedicated website at www.sba.gov/nsbw to download forms, criteria, and guidelines for submitting a nomination. The Alaska District Nomination Guidelines and district awards categories can be found on the district’s website at https://www.sba.gov/district/alaska.
 
The SBA Awards given in celebration of National and District Small Business Week include the following awards:
 
Alaska District Small Business Week Categories:

  • Small Business Person of the Year (National and District)
  • Small Business Exporter (National and District)
  • Minority Small Business of the Year (District)
  • Veteran Small Business of the Year (District)
  • Women in Business of the Year (District)
 
“Alaska’s small businesses weathered adversity and uncertainty through innovation and perseverance during 2022 while contributing more than $7.5 billion in payroll,” stated Steven Brown, SBA District Director of the Alaska District Office. “In 2023, we look forward to celebrating our entrepreneurs and small businesses owners for their continued contributions to our economy and communities.  Please nominate and encourage others to nominate the small businesses that make a difference,” Brown continued.
 
The Alaska District Office must receive all nominations by electronic submission ONLY to the District’s BOX account no later 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 8, 2022.
