Grammy Award Winning band TRAIN comes to Anchorage Alaska July 15th
Erickson Unlimited announces Train in concert Multi-platinum, GRAMMY- and Billboard-award winning artists to perform July 15 in Anchorage Brad Erickson of Erickson Unlimited is proud to announce that platinum-selling artists Train, winners of multiple GRAMMY and Billboard Music awards, will perform live in Anchorage on July 15 with an all-ages show at the Chinook Lot at 3rd and E Street. Train has been one of the best selling artists of the past 25 years with 10 million albums and 30 million tracks sold since the release of their debut album by Columbia in 1998. The band has won three GRAMMYs, two Billboard Music Awards, and dozens of other honors. The tumbling wordplay of "Meet Virginia" gave them their first unlikely radio hit and 2001’s Drops of Jupiter broke them to multi-platinum status thanks to the double-Grammy Award-winning title song that spent 10 months in the Top 40, has been certified 6x platinum in the US, and earned the 2001 GRAMMY Award for Best Rock Song. The group won another GRAMMY award in 2011 for their global hit “Hey, Soul Sister” from their multi-platinum album Save Me, San Francisco. “Hey, Soul Sister” was the No.1 best-selling smash and most downloaded single of 2010 and achieved RIAA Diamond status. They’ve had 12 albums on the Billboard 200 albums chart with their 2014 Bulletproof Picasso reaching No. 4 in 2012 and 2017’s a girl a bottle a boat debuting at No. 8. “Play That Song,” the lead single from a girl a bottle a boat, went platinum in four countries including the U.S., hit Top 5 on the US iTunes chart, Top 10 at Hot AC radio, and charted at Adult Top 40. Tickets will go on sale March 3 at 10 a.m. on EricksonEvents.com. Advance tickets are $85, with VIP packages available for $250. Doors will open at 5 p.m. followed by local artists with the headliners taking the stage around 8:45 p.m. Train is the latest national act brought by Erickson Unlimited coming to Alaska in 2023. Shane Smith and the Saints recently wrapped up a three-day trip to Palmer, Anchorage and Fairbanks Feb. 23-25. The Lazy Mountain Music Festival featuring Whitey Morgan and the 78s, Kendell Marvel, Flatland Cavalry, and the Ken Peltier Band will take place May 27-28 at the Alaska State Fairgrounds, and the annual Backyard BBQ headlined by Chris Young and his full band will be June 23 in Fairbanks and June 24 in Anchorage. The annual Arctic Comic Con is also coming up May 6-7 in Anchorage at the Dena’ina Center. Details and tickets available at EricksonEvents.com
