The Child and Family Team is seeking a Family Navigator to work with families receiving outpatient behavioral health services. The Family Navigator normalizes families' experiences, facilitates skill development, and serves as a mentor for caregivers of children and adolescents impacted by mental illness and/or trauma. This includes, but is not limited to, development of effective coping skills, self-help strategies, problem-solving skills, behavior support skills, and navigation of resources and service providers with the overarching goal of assisting the caregiver and family in regaining balance and control of their lives.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; personal life experience caring for a child or adolescent who has been impacted by mental illness and/or trauma, and an ability to share your experiences to comfort and assist those you serve; and a readiness to become Peer Certified within six months of employment. Applicants should hold a commitment to client-centered work and be able to work as part of a fast-paced, structured, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team. A high degree of collaboration is critical, and applicants should demonstrate a passion for working with families. Services may be provided in a one-on-one, family, or group setting.
The salary range is $16.56 to $21.44 an hour. This is a full-time position. Benefits include two health insurance options for employees and children, 10 paid holidays, six weeks of PTO after the first year, eligibility to participate in annual incentive plan, and a 401(k) plan with up to a 5% employer match and immediate vesting.
