Medical Assistant

We are looking for full-time Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to work as members of the medical/nursing team to provide care to a mentally ill population. This position is in a clinic setting Monday-Friday with no evening or weekend shifts. Responsibilities include: greeting patients, taking vital signs; phlebotomy skills; administering injections; collecting pertinent health information and completing screening questionnaires; coordinating timely and efficient patient flow in the Department; completing prior authorizations, laboratory requisitions, and other forms; obtaining patient records; and answering calls and relaying information in a courteous manner. Must be able to think quickly in a crisis and prioritize tasks. Requirements: High School diploma or GED, a Certified Medical Assistant, and currently certified in CPR and First Aid.  Experience working in an outpatient setting is a plus. Must be comfortable with EMR usage, fast learner of computer programs, and display cultural competency and sensitivity. Salary range is $17.78 to $23.01 depending on experience plus eligibility to participate in an annual incentive plan.
