Clinician ~ ACT

The ACT team is community based and supports some of the community's most acute citizens with chronic mental illness and substance abuse.  The work is fast-paced, unpredictable and requires risk management within a harm reduction framework. 

Under the Organization's policies and professional requirements, this position provides clinical evaluation and treatment services to assigned clients. The full time Clinician functions as part of a multidisciplinary team and reports to the assigned Clinical Manager. The Clinician provides clinical oversight for non-master's staff and engages in supervision of graduate interns as required.

Other duties for this position are: clinical assessment and evaluation services; treatment planning responsibilities; responsible for making referrals and/or coordinating mental health services with other community and State agencies; engaging in professional recordkeeping in accordance with Organization standards; and participating in program evaluation and quality improvement activities to ensure that clinical services are clinically viable and responsive to the mental health needs of the population served. The Clinician maintains behavior and communications that are consistent with Organization goals, mission, and values. 

Requires Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. One year of professional experience is preferred. Personal transportation with a clean 5-year driving record and Alaska vehicle insurance is mandatory. Salary range is $51,176.00 to $66,229 for unlicensed applicants and $65,921 to $85,312 for licensed applicants. Licensed clinicians will also receive a $10,000 hiring bonus, which request a two-year employment commitment.  Compensation also includes eligibility to participate in an annual incenter plan. Benefits include two health insurance options along with Health Savings account or Flexible spending accounts as well as generous paid time off of 30 days after the first year and 401(k) contribution with up to a 5% match and immediate vesting..
