Our client: A well respected group of Alaska Native-owned companies with over two decades of Alaskan community experience, is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join their team.

Would you like to:
- Assign tasks to and coordinate work with entry level engineers
- Assist in determining scheduled and budget requirements
- Occasionally interact with clients, officials, contractors and others
- Prepare drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD
- Assist with proposals to provide professional services
- Prepare as-built record drawings
- Prepare permit applications
- Observe construction activities
- Travel to remote project sites
Ideally you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam
- Three years recent experience in Civil Engineering
- AutoCAD, Excel and Word proficiency
- Civil design experience
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Willingness and ability to travel and perform field work in adverse Arctic conditions and away from direct supervision
- Understanding of civil construction techniques and sequencing
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet deadlines
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change
Strongly preferred:
- Alaskan experience
- Agency coordination/permitting
- Field work/site inspection/construction
- Civil design: roads, site design, utility infrastructure
- Planning documents; master planning, PERs and DSRs
