Construction Office Assistant

Looking for an energetic, and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support for the office of a busy Anchorage construction company.

Strong customer service, time management, administrative skills, excellent communication, organization, and multitasking are required to succeed in this position.

Previous construction office experience is preferred, the knowledge of insurance terminology and bookkeeping is also highly preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 Ensure constant coverage at the front desk and maintain a neat and orderly appearance in the reception area. 

  • Greet and assist visitors

  • Receive all incoming calls, route caller to appropriate staff; take accurate and complete messages

  • Produce professional correspondence and spreadsheets, including subcontracts, change orders and proposals using Microsoft Word and Excel
     Maintain all office equipment
     Maintain corporate email for multiple companies and distribute to appropriate staff
     Operate standard office equipment including computer, copier/fax/scanner, etc. 

  • Copy and scanning of documents

  • Insurance Requests
     Maintaining records and schedules
     Maintaining inventory of office, kitchen and cleaning supplies

  • Processing invoices for payment and reconciling statements
    Maintain corporate and job files, update file index as needed

This is a full time position with pay staring at $17-$18/HR Depending on experience. Monday -Friday 8am-5pm


  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license & reliable transportation
  • 1-3 years of work-related experience
  • Must be able to operate a multi-lune phone system
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • Background will be viewed 
  • Drug free environment
