We'll teach you all about what you can find in our coastal rainforests\, give you a spiel on avalanche safety (a pretty harrowing topic at the moment)\, and take lots of amazing photos. Our hike will take us 2.5 miles one-way to a picturesque icy gorge with shimmering water frozen in time. We'll attempt to make it to the hand tram (if you are familiar)\, but it isn't currently open to the public. If you have never been on a hike during the winter\, you need to give it a shot. Winter hiking is a blast\, and it is great for the mind and body during the long periods of dark and cold.\n\n\n\nLastly\, this is your opportunity to help support an Anchorage-based\, small business. With an affordable price of $30\, you should have plenty left to spend on the lift tickets and hotel accommodations. Think of it as a donation rather than a fee. I'd be honored to show you what I do.
