In 2020 due to statewide budget cuts the University of Alaska Anchorage board of regents voted to eliminate Alaska's only collegiate gymnastics program. A caveat was made that if private funds could be raised to cover $880\,000 of costs the team would be reinstated permanently. We are working to literally save Alaska's gymnastics team! Each year around 20 young women are able to fulfill their dream to compete in gymnastics collegiately and obtain a quality education at UAA. Each year UAA gymnastics provides role models and a dream for young people in the state and provides alumni that work to support young gymnasts as is evident in gyms across Alaska. These young women excel at UAA academically as well as athletically and go on after their careers to become contributors to our community. We are over 75 percent of the way there to reach our goal but are asking for your help to raise the money needed.
