We are providing Downtown-centric solutions for the unique challenges we face every day. Envisions what we can do to develop Downtown in the next 20 years. \n\n\n\nThis presentation will cover: \n\n\n	Who we are as a Downtown and a community\n	What is Anchorage Downtown Partnership and why we are here\n	Downtown Safety\n	Importance of Development\, People and Commerce\n	Why Invest in Downtowns\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nPenny Smythe - Marketing Director\n\nAs Marketing Director\, Penny Smythe oversees the marketing & communications\, events\, and brand for Downtown Anchorage and Anchorage Downtown Partnership.  \n\n\n\nPenny Smythe received a B.A. in Psychology and Communications from the University of Denver. She has marketed a majority of large and small business entities throughout the United States. After moving to Alaska in 2006\, she worked for Congressman Don Young as special assistant and moved into the marketing and communications field working for USKH\, Bering Straits Native Corporation and RIM Architects. Penny has a passion in helping small business owners make their mark in the community. Penny joined Anchorage Downtown Partnership in 2011 and is excited to not only help Anchorage Downtown Partnership grow as an organization but to also help market Downtown Anchorage for years to come.\n\n\n\n\n\nJamie Boring - Executive Director\n\nAs Executive Director of Anchorage Downtown Partnership\, Jamie Boring guides the actions of Anchorage Downtown Partnership staff\, while supporting and strengthening the organization's purpose of assuring a Clean\, Safe\, Vital and Healthy Downtown. He works with the community in collaborative ways to address local challenges. Additionally\, Jamie leads multiple facets of operations including Maintenance\, Security\, Membership\, Events\, Public Policy and Marketing for Downtown. Jamie is aware of the challenges and unique opportunities that face downtown. Jamie has a strong background in all facets of construction\, development\, and finance and is dedicated to service through volunteering on Boards\, participating in civic duties and having served in the United States Marine Corps. To say that Jamie is passionate about the growth and prosperity of Downtown Anchorage is an understatement.
