DESCRIPTION:In response to state and municipal needs to help Alaska's workforce upscale and retool to grow our economy\, UAA introduced a suite of Fast Track Career Certificates based on current and emerging state economic trends\, as well as feedback from industry partners and state and local officials regarding real-time employment needs.\n\n\n\nOn Monday\, join us and College of Business & Public Policy Dean\, Dr. John Nofsinger\, to learn more about these ongoing collaborative efforts that now include $3 million in federal COVID relief funds allocated by the municipality. This has made it possible for UAA to provide full scholarships for up to 300 eligible students\, plus housing stipends\, as they enroll in the university's certificate programs. Seward Endowed Chair in International Finance at the College of Business & Public Policy\, University of Alaska Anchorage. Professor Nofsinger has authored/coauthored fourteen finance books that have been translated into eleven languages. John is a prolific scholar who has published in multiple disciplines. He has published 73 articles in prestigious scholarly journals and practitioner journals. He is one of the world's leading experts in behavioral finance and has recently been working in the biology of finance and socially responsible finance.\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Anchorage Chamber is committed to creating and providing an environment where our members feel comfortable\, but also have the freedom to do business.
