DESCRIPTION:Alaska Railroad President & CEO Bill O'Leary will review current status and future opportunities for the railroad's business lines\, including passenger service\, freight transportation and real estate. He'll also discuss the railroad's capital improvement plans\, including significant and near-term investments in rail-marine terminals\, with a focus on ARRC's passenger dock replacement and freight dock expansion in Seward.\n\n \n\n\n\n\nPresident & CEO William "Bill" O'Leary assumed the railroad's helm on Nov. 1\, 2013. He is responsible for the daily management and operations of the corporation. Previously\, O'Leary served as the railroad's chief operations officer\, responsible for the oversight of rail transportation\, engineering\, mechanical\, safety\, labor relations\, marketing\, customer service and grant administration functions. From July 2001 to March 2013\, O'Leary was the Alaska Railroad's vice president of finance and chief finance officer. In this capacity he was responsible for the financial activities of the corporation as well as human resources and supply management functions. He also served as interim president and CEO from April 1 to Sept. 22\, 2010. A certified public accountant and lifelong Alaskan\, O'Leary has worked in a variety of financial positions since 1988. Before joining the railroad\, he was controller of the Alaska International Airport System.
