SUMMARY:"Make it Monday" forum - Preparing a Workforce for a Changing Economy
DESCRIPTION:A combination of impacts on Alaska's economy that began before the COVID pandemic has resulted in obstacles to our state's recovery and growth due to the quantity and skills of Alaskans in the workforce. While there are some good signs with new industries and major projects in statewide infrastructure\, the state has lost skilled people leaving for employment or education elsewhere. Alaska will find it difficult to recruit from other states with faster recovery and infrastructure spending.\n\n\n\nThis Monday forum will focus on initiatives and strategies in progress to help employers attract\, train and retain the workforce they need and encourage Alaskans to seek out and prepare for the best opportunities with long-term career potential in Alaska. \n\n\n\nPanelists:\n\n\n	Jon Bittner\, Executive Director of the Alaska SBDC\n	Ky Holland\, Alaska Version 3\n	Cari-Ann Carty\, Executive Director\, Alaska Safety Alliance\n\nPLUS\, a new member presentation from Travis Skavhaug of Legacy Church.\n\n\n\n\nThe Anchorage Chamber is committed to creating and providing an environment where our members feel comfortable\, but also have the freedom to do business.
