SUMMARY:"Make it Monday" forum - Pebble's Path Forward
DESCRIPTION:Our objective is to help Alaskans develop a more thorough and accurate understanding of the project. Pebble could play an important role in Alaska's future should we secure the required state and federal permits for the project. It could employ Alaskans and our future generations\, and become an economic engine for southwest and southcentral Alaska.\n\n\n\nThe Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Pebble Project has been released by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). We believe it demonstrates that the project can be done in an environmentally responsible manner and that it points to a clear path forward for permitting success.\n\n\n\nTom Collier\, CEO\, Pebble Limited Partnership\n\nTom was appointed CEO of the Pebble Partnership in February 2014. Prior to this role\, Tom had a\n\nforty year legal career with Steptoe and Johnson with a specialty for guiding companies through the\n\nfederal environmental permitting process. In addition to his legal\n\ncareer\, Tom has worked for the U.S. Department of the Interior as Chief of Staff for former Secretary\n\nBruce Babbitt and at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
