DESCRIPTION:ONLINE REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED.\n\nPlease be sure to register by Thursday at 5 pm.\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe Behavioral Health Expansion Project is a transformative initiative by Southcentral Foundation to enhance behavioral health and substance use services in Alaska. Located in Anchorage\, the new state-of-the-art facility will include a 16-chair\, 23-hour Adult Crisis Stabilization Center\, a 16-bed Adult Crisis Residential Program\, and an expanded 30-bed Detox Program offering Medication-Assisted Treatment. Designed to address critical gaps in the continuum of care\, the facility will provide culturally appropriate\, integrated services to individuals statewide\, ensuring timely intervention and pathways to long-term recovery while reducing strain on emergency rooms and first responders.\n\n\n\nPLUS\, a member presentation from the American Lung Association.\n\n \n\n\n\n\nBrian McCutcheon is the Vice President for Southcentral Foundation's Behavioral Services Division where he provides operational oversight to SCF's community-based behavioral health programs\, ensures program compliance with federal and state laws and community mental health requirements\, ensures provision of culturally relevant treatment to internal and external customers\, and completes strategic planning at the program\, division\, and corporate level. Brian joined SCF in 2008 as a program manager for SCF's Behavioral Services Division\, where his primary responsibility was to guide the day-to-day operations of over 40 associates focused on meeting the behavioral health needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian beneficiaries of Indian Health Services.\n\n \n\n\n\n\nMatt Hirschfeld is the Vice President for Specialty Services Southcentral Foundation (SCF)\, at Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC). In his role\, he works with leadership at ANMC to help set strategy\, vison\, and program development for Alaska Native families from all parts of Alaska. He is also an active pediatrician who sees families with children and babies who are admitted to the hospital at ANMC.  In addition\, he has a Pediatric Field Clinic at Norton Sound Hospital in Nome\, Alaska\, where he sees families with children who have complex medical needs. Matt has an MD/PhD from the University of Utah.
