SUMMARY:"Make it Monday" forum - Anchorage Port Modernization Program
DESCRIPTION:October 17th of this year marked a watershed moment as the Anchorage Assembly officially changed the name of the Port of Anchorage to the Port of Alaska\, to better describe its overall importance to state commerce\, which extends past the borders of the Municipality. And just as infrastructure throughout the country is in a sad state of disrepair\, Alaska key infrastructure despite the state's relatively young age is not being spared this reality. The newly-minted Port of Alaska is no exception! Find out how the Port staff plans on handling this challenge.\n\n \nSteve Ribuffo is the Director of the Port of Alaska. In this capacity\, he is responsible for the Port's day-to-day business operations and its modernization program. He has been with the Port since August 2007\, when he came aboard as Deputy Port Director.\n\n\n\nSteve retired from the United States Air Force as a Colonel\, after 30 years active duty. He is an Accredited Marine Port Executive and a member of the Advisory Board of the International Association of Maritime and Port Executives. He also serves on the University of Alaska Anchorage's Global Supply Chain Management curriculum advisory committee and is Chairman of the Cook Inlet Harbor Safety Committee.\n\n \n\n\n____________________________________________\n\nFOLLOW OUR EVENTS ON FACEBOOK!\n\n\n\nNew to Monday Forum?
