The report highlights the challenged conditions and how this impacts the economy\, and offers solutions in terms of improved investment\, innovation and operation and maintenance.\n\n \n____________________________________________\n\n\nTor Anderzen is a Senior Aviation Engineer and leader of the Airports Division at HDL Engineering Consultants. He has twelve years of airport planning and design experience and is licensed as a Professional Civil Engineer in Alaska and Montana. A Swede by birth\, Tor has lived in the US since 2000\, and Alaska since 2011. Tor and his wife Stefanie live in Palmer with their five children. \n\n\n\nAfter a ten-year career as a land surveyor\, Tor returned to College in 2002. Tor earned both his Bachelors and Master's Degrees in Civil Engineering at Michigan Technological University. \n\n\n\nTor has been active in ASCE since 2007 first in the Montana Section and since 2011 in the Alaska Section. Tor chairs the Alaska report card committee and is active in government relations represent Region 8 on the ASCE State Government Relations committee.\n\n \n____________________________________________\n\n\nDavid Gamez is a Civil Engineer with the State & Local Governments client sector at CH2M specializing in transportation engineering. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University\, Fullerton and is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Alaska. He has been involved on several projects for the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities\, Municipality of Anchorage\, Port of Anchorage\, Army Corps of Engineers\, Sound Transit\, and several cities across Alaska\, Colorado\, Idaho\, Oregon\, and Washington. His most recent project\, the Seward Highway Reconstruction: Dowling Rd to Dimond Blvd\, is currently under construction.\n\n\n\nDavid grew up in Southern California and moved to Anchorage in 2012. He brought his enthusiasm for Civil Engineering after being involved with ASCE in Orange County and has been an active member of since 2007. He has served on several leadership positions and conference chairmanships for ASCE.
