DESCRIPTION:Attractive public space and better designed streets are not simply safety improvements\, but also attract increased activity strengthening communities\, the businesses they serve and the city's economy.\n\n\n\nSPEAKERS:\n\n\n\nJerry Hansen\, Director of Project Management and Engineering\n\n\n\nJerry has been with the Municipality and the previous City of Anchorage for over 40 years in various positions relating to the design\, construction and management of the Municipality's roads\, drainage and pedestrian infrastructure. For the past 9 years he has been the Director of the PM&E Department. \n\n\n\nDave Kemp\, P.E.\, PMP\, Regional Director\, Central Region of the Department of Transportation & Public Facilities\n\n\n\nDave has a B.A. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed Civil Engineer\, a Project Management Professional and a licensed USCG skipper.\n\n\n\nDave started his engineering career in 1981 in Swaziland\, Southern Africa\, assisting rural communities with potable water supply projects. Since that time\, Dave has spent over 35 years managing projects with volunteer\, private sector and public organizations\, including managing the state's two new sport fish hatcheries in Fairbanks and Anchorage.\n\n\n\nIn 2016\, Dave accepted the Director of Central Region position while continuing to serve as DOT&PF's Director of Statewide Public Facilities. \n\n\n\nThere will be a Q&A at the end of the forum.\n\n\n\n_______________________________\n\nDeadline to register online is 5 p.m. the Friday directly preceding the forum.
