A Jamaican expat\, she made Alaska her home after her final assignment at Ft. Richardson in 2009.\n\n\nShe is a dedicated advocate and community leader\, currently serving her second term as President of the Anchorage NAACP\, where she champions racial justice\, equity\, and civic engagement. Cheryl also brings her leadership to roles in housing\, education\, and public safety\, and works as Accreditation Manager for the UAA Police Department.\n\nAn entrepreneur and lifelong learner\, she is a financial services broker\, investor\, public speaker\, and voice-over artist. She holds a Psychology degree from UAA and is pursuing a Master's in Criminal Justice at UAF.\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe diversity committee's mission is to better serve and advocate for the business community by becoming a more open\, inclusive\, and diverse organization reflective of the make-up of Anchorage.
