DESCRIPTION:feat. Marshall Pickering\, USI Insurance Services\n\n\n\nAlternative funding (aka self funding) is an alternative to fully insured plans for employer-sponsored health plans. Designed to give more flexibility and cost-saving to groups that are struggling with the increasing costs for fully insured employers.\n\n\n\nMarshall will go over the basics of an employer-sponsored health plan\, what it consists of\, and what options employers have when offering a benefits plan.  He will then present what a Level-Funded Health plan is\, and how employers can effectively manage their plan.\n\nREGISTER\n\n\n\n-------------------------------\n\n\n\nMarshall Pickering is an Employee Benefits Consultant with USI Insurance Services in Anchorage\, AK.  He began his career in Employee Benefits in 2013 as a carrier rep with Colonial Life and spent 6 years with the company.  He is currently the Vice President of AAHU (the Alaska Association of Health Underwriters) where he helps advocate for the health insurance and benefits industry on behalf of its members.
