Hear about their journey to becoming an executive and take the opportunity to ask questions or for advice.\n\n \n\n\nJon Bittner currently serves as the President and CEO of the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation where he focuses on bringing innovation and new growth opportunities to Alaska's largest city. Jon is a fifth generation Alaskan with over a decade of experience in the business and economic development sector in Alaska.  Over the course of his career\, he has served as an exploration geologist for Millrock Resources\, Vice President of AEDC\, Deputy Commissioner of the Dept of Commerce\, Community and Economic Development\, State Director of the Alaska Small Business Development Center\, and External Affairs Manager for MDF Alaska.  Through those roles he was able to drive new programs\, new funding\, and new innovation in industries across the state.  He currently serves on the Boards of the Anchorage Downtown Partnership\, Anchorage Community Land Trust\, Anchorage Chamber\, Commonwealth North\, United Way. UAA College of Business & Public Policy\, Anchorage Community Development Authority\, and the State Committee on Research. He has been recognized for his efforts by the Alaska Journal of Commerce\, the Alaska Society of Leadership and Success\, Development Counselors International\, and the International Economic Development Council.  He has created a variety of nationally recognized programs over the years including Alaska's first hackathon\, Alaska Entrepreneurship Week\, Anchorage Maker Faire\, the $59 million Alaska Small Business Credit Initiative and the $83 million Alaska Tribal Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) which are the top SSBCI programs in the nation.
