DESCRIPTION:America250 is a nonpartisan initiative working to engage every American in commemorating and celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country in 2026.\n\n\n\nThe guiding principle for Alaska's participation is History for Tomorrow highlighting the importance of the next generation to Alaska's future.\n\n\n\nThe theme was inspired by the Alaska Constitution Convention members\, who\, in a resolution passed on February 5\, 1956\, bequeathed the state constitution they had just forged to Alaska's youth.\n\n\n\n"You are our future\," states the resolution.
