To honor Veterans laid to rest at the Anchorage Memorial Cemetery\, our Nuvision team is partnering with American Legion Jack Henry Post 1 for the 5th year in a row to clean headstones in time for Memorial Day. We hope to pay tribute to these soldiers by making their names be seen and recognized.
\n\nThanks to the hard work of volunteers\, we have cleaned over 2\,000 headstones so far. We are asking for our members and the community to come together once again to make a meaningful difference.
\n\nThe Legion'\;s Auxiliary and the VFW will be placing American Flags at each gravesite to indicate which veteran headstones to be maintained.
\n\nPlease consider signing up to join us. You are welcome to bring your family or friends\, the more volunteers we get\, the larger impact we can make. We will be providing coffee and snacks to volunteers during the event and there is a reception at the American Legion after the clean-up.
