DESCRIPTION:Alaska Sound Celebration\, the state's premier women's a cappella chorus\, presents the 2024 Fur Rondy Melodrama\, WAMCATS of the Wild\, February 23 and runs through March 9 at the 49th State Brewing Company   Heritage Theatre in downtown Anchorage. In this year's Fur Rondy Melodrama\, we travel back in time to an early 1900s gold rush community\, where the U.S. military is the only protection against lawless rapscallions\, the local roadhouse is the only place to hang out for safety and entertainment\, and the only connection to the outside world is the Western-Alaska Military Cable and Telegraph System (WAMCATS)   if it can ever be completed!
