DESCRIPTION:Military Appreciation Week concludes with this picnic held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at JBER- Richardson at Cottonwood Park Playground. The Anchorage Chamber works closely with other organizations to provide a variety of fun\, family-friendly activities during the picnic\, such as competitive sporting events for the adults and family friendly activities for the kids. This year we're hoping to include face painting\, playground activities\, basketball\, volleyball\, and of course a great d.j. \n\n\n\nThis event is four hours of food\, music and fun for the entire family. Each year the Anchorage Chamber solicits nearly 150 volunteers to serve 5\,000 local service members and their families.\n\n\n\n\n\nTo volunteer\, click here. The deadline to register to volunteer is 5 p.m. June 23rd. \n\n\n\nPlease register\, even if you have base access\, so the Chamber knows how many volunteers will be available for each shift.
