Job Description

The Quality Assurance Auditing Specialist is responsible for conducting internal documentation audits as they pertain to Medicaid billing. Duties include auditing to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. The Quality Assurance Auditing Specialist researches, interprets and applies various regulatory, statutory, and payer regulations related to reimbursement and standard of care, and conducts internal audit investigations. The Quality Assurance Auditing Specialist works with a moderate degree of independence in utilizing their professional background in Medicaid regulations or other state and federal regulations, preferably in the health care industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: High School Diploma/GED. Minimum of one (1) year experience in Medicaid Regulations or State & Federal Regulations that center around health care plus one (1) year of Microsoft Excel Office software experience. Valid Alaska driver license, clean driving record, proof of insurance, current TB skin test/health screening and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred: Associates degree in Business along with two (2) years’ experience in Medicaid Regulations or State & Federal Regulations that center around health care.
