"Make it Monday" forum - ML&P Generation: Past, Present and Future
ML&P General Manager Mark Johnston will discuss current and future generation issues in the Railbelt and the replacement of existing generation with more fuel-efficient, cost-effective generating assets. Mark will also provide an update on the 2016 commissioning of Plant 2A expansion project, the 120-megawatt, thermal generation power plant located in east Anchorage.
The program will begin with the Division of Economic Development presenting the "Manufacturer of the Year" award. Each year, a Made in Alaska permit holder is selected as the state's "Manufacturer of the Year." The award recognizes the ability to overcome challenges and thrive while contributing to Alaska's economy. Winners demonstrate hard work, business growth, job creation, innovation, and community spirit. For more information on this award, visit https://vimeo.com/172160524.
